GWDC 2026 Kor2026-09-29 02:54:38Yoon Suk-hun says hackathons should not end as one-off events, with post-event paths planned for product launchGWDC 2026 Korea is scheduled to take place on Sept. 29-30, 2026, at Seoul’s aT Center in South Korea. The event is hosted by Web3Labs and co-hosted by Techub News, HypaiLabs, and TokenPost. In his welcome remarks, Asian Economic Development Committee Chairman Yoon Suk-hun said the hackathon is not meant to be a simple contest of technical skill. Instead, he described it as a venue to identify young talent in the AI era with practical capabilities and close links to the startup ecosystem. He said the competition gives university students a chance to step outside theory-focused campuses, define real user problems on site, and build products within a limited time that can be used in everyday life. Yoon also stressed the value of cross-disciplinary teamwork among developers, designers, and planners. He added that organizers want to build a channel that carries ideas beyond a one-time event by connecting participating projects after the competition with global corporate accelerator programs and university startup support systems, with the goal of helping ideas born at the venue reach the market and commercialization.230
Ethereum Foun2026-08-10 03:49:11Ex-Ethereum Foundation Member: Founders Can't Rely on EF to Find PMFFormer Ethereum Foundation startup support member Abbas Khan has a blunt message for founders: don't rely on the foundation to help you find product-market fit (PMF). In a post on X, Khan, who left the foundation, said the strongest founders already understand this. They tend to know their direction, their shortcomings and what they need, and they come to the foundation with specific, well-scoped requests. Some founders, he said, once hoped that an Ethereum retweet or support from the foundation would solve distribution and PMF problems. But as he put it, 'No foundation can make you successful. Building the product, finding distribution and validating PMF is on you.' Khan also admitted that criticism of the early Ethereum Foundation for lacking a founder support team was fair, adding that those functions improved over time. However, he made a distinction between 'supporting builders' and 'expecting the foundation to make you successful.' What the foundation can offer, he said, is resource connections, onboarding programs and mentorship. What it cannot do is build a team's project or determine the project's fate.1820
